These terms apply when you use the Maija app and website to learn Finnish. By using Maija you agree to them.
The service
Maija is a language-learning app with lessons, flashcards and spoken classes with an AI teacher. The AI teacher can make mistakes; use your judgement, and report any reply that seems wrong using the Report button.
Your account
You can use Maija without signing up, or save your progress with Apple, Google or email. You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Your data.
Subscriptions and purchases
- Premium Weekly, Premium Monthly and Premium Max are subscriptions that renew automatically until cancelled.
- Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period in your store settings.
- An introductory price, if offered, applies once per person and ends when the regular subscription starts.
- The Finnish Masterclass 7-day pass is a one-time purchase that ends after 7 days and does not renew. Lifetime access is a one-time purchase.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
- Each plan includes approximate daily speaking time, as shown in the app, to keep the service fair for everyone.
Fair use
Please don't misuse the service, try to get around its limits, or use it to create harmful content.
